Been playing around on Roblox again, found this:

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Not sure if this is an accident or deliberate trolling because as far as I know, there has never been such a thing as a Ford Yukon, especially one based on the GMT K2XX platform.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Also, it’s surprising to find that someone has taken the time and effort to model both generations of the XC90 for Roblox, but I appreciate the notion. Anyways, Good Night Oppo! See you all tomorrow!

That focus is nicely done.

I’ve only heard of Roblox from people who left it to come to Rigs of Rods because the Roblox community was “too childish.”

And the apparent age of the average RoR player was about 11, so that’s really saying something.

Indeed, there are plenty of well done models, and I wanted to share the new XC90 especially because that struck me as one of the best I had seen recently. Roblox isn’t bad if you go to it expecting nothing, because you’ll come away amazed. There are many, many games from driving sims to business sims to survival, shoot-em-up, flying, boating, amusement parks, daily life, horror, destruction, you name it, Roblox’s got it. It is simply such a versatile platform if you can look past the immaturity of some of the players, and even then I have only very occasionally come across someone unsavory. Most of the time everyone is exceptionally courteous and respectful and ready to help. Without a doubt it went from being something I wouldn’t even consider to a viable time sink to spend a few hours driving around a fictional island (driving physics are awful, so do be careful) or fly a few planes. RoR I played for quite a while as well, and enjoyed for many years (now I have 500-600+ mods on my game) but eventually I grew tired of it and moved on to more interactive platforms.

Honestly I think that focus is the best model shown. It comes closest to looking like the actual car.

I take it there’s some form of in-game modelling.

Indeed. But what do you mean by in game modelling?

That the vehicles are created within the game, rather than in an outside program.

Yes, that is the case. I tried my hand at the Roblox Studio a few months ago and while I found that individual modelling is beyond me there is an extensive library of pre-made models from other users that is available to create different scenes and environments to your heart’s content.
